You lay
lurking
living to attack
destroy
any semblance of peace
Joy
Beauty
Your one purpose in life
is to attack and
terrify
the good that floats
on the very surface
that you endevour to attach your tendrils to
YOU
or the story of You
will not stop me
from diving down deep
and deeper
to see the beauty and aliveness
that lingers and luxuriates
below
below the surface
