April blogging
brings May dogging

first post since the end
time to begin again

reflection

last minute decision to join

felt proud to complete
met lots of people who were neat

never meant to write in prose
followed my nose

it was easy
when I just trusted
each day would arrive
with a bit of not knowing
the excitement of growing

some days i had it in advance
other days not a chance

whether I would wade in again

weather permitting

Zebra’s are Black & White

We remember in colour
We forget in Black & White

We create in colour
We destroy in Black & white

We dance in colour
We freeze in Black & White

We sing in colour
We rage in Black & white

We love in colour
We hate in black & white

We bounce joyfully in colour
We recoil with sadness in Black & White

We live in colour
We die in black & white

Thankfully we are
Colourful

longing for

the urge that wells up inside

overflowing with desire

I ignore the nay sayers

the grumpy one

those that gave up believing a long time ago

i search for other’s

a shared look

where i feel your yearn

and know my yearn is

safe

in your heart

where all yearns begin

and end

I see magic in the hat

as the puddle spread

lurking

living to attack

destroy

any semblance of peace

Joy

Beauty

Your one purpose in life

is to attack and

terrify

the good that floats

on the very surface

that you endevour to attach your tendrils to

YOU

or the story of You

will not stop me

from diving down deep

and deeper

to see the beauty and aliveness

that lingers and luxuriates

below

below the surface

Teenage Boy Shoes

I miss the ease of
slipping into those big
galumphing
floppy ( on me)
teenage boy shoes

that once lounged at my entrance
No longer at my door
on a regular basis
for
our walks together

and perhaps you never ever knew

unless I left a sometimes sign
of melting snow
on your shoes
those garbage day mornings
as you slept your teenage slumber

I, in your big boy shoes

now sometimes it is my heart that melts

for those moments
when we shared shoes
and everyday minutia

Shatter
I fall
I break
I shatter my Illusion

Sirens Sound
Emergency vehicles are set in motion
There is no need

No need for Rescue
The shattering frees up my bound parts
my tightly held beliefs

My stuck notions

I skitter and scatter

finding new space

new place

expansion in the shatter
